    I just remembered that before Magnus Chase was announced, I made a massive Viking world that existed alongside Percy Jackson’s world where most of the heroes were not einjahar but the descendants of Norse heroes like Sigurd and the Yglings and first generation children of the gods where practically unheard of in a thousand years, so they were practically normal people and only a few posses relics of their godly and heroic ancestors powers.

    All my little characters where part of this society called The Hammer of the Gods, which was created by Thor to ease his struggle of protecting midggard by uniting the descendants of heroes to stop uprisings of Jotunn, dragons, monsters, sorcerers and all the good things of Norse mythology. Before that, the old Norse heroes would only fight for their own gain, now their descendants could band together and fight for something bigger than their own desires.

    But the catch was that even if you where when a descendant, you might not have been called to join The Hammer unless you posses the Feuhu (effectively the Norse spirit animal/guardian that followed a particular bloodline and each generation, attached itself to a child within that bloodline with the most promising destiny so it might continue). SO in effect, the chosen descendants where the best descendants of the gods and their are very few of them ( the feuhu are very picky and the Hero bloodlines have been diminished in the past 1200 years).

    A god could also choose to patron a descendant (like Odin did to his grandson Sigmund and his son Sigurd), therefore acting like a sort of mentor or guardian that pops up when the hero needs advice. But their help isn’t always wanted (Odin was the cause of Sigmund’s death).

    So the heroes are trying to stop Ragnarok and therefore Loki and the Jotunn, but their are always bad app;es in a batch and some can get turned to the dark side and join Loki.

    The Hammer is aware of the other pantheons existence and for the most part, The Hammer stays out of the troubles of other gods. But some, mostly the bad apples, have taken part in apocalypse events (the human mercenaries working for Atlas in The Titans Curse for instance).

    I also had the idea that this band of despot Norse warriors roam around middgard and the nine worlds in the battle bus (Frey’s magic ship that he donated to the heroes. It took the form of a bus and fits in your pocket when not used!) Sometimes mixing it up with other gods and heroes and other times getting thrown into walls by Jotunn.

    My world was far more extensive then this in my mind, it’s just hard to put into a tumblr post. Still i love magnus chase. Perhaps i should write a fic about it.

    I just remembered all of this!!!!

    Sif, wife of Thor!

    I completely forgot to upload these here!! They are on my insta and I drew them a couple months ago, but have touched them up a bit since then. Anyhow, my initial idea for Sif(going with the idea that most gods are kinda selfish and bad in the GoW universe) is that she’s very petty, absent minded, and of course annoyingly obsessed with her golden hair. XD Unlike her daughter and son she’s pretty useless in combat, and prefers to remain back home just gloating to strangers waiting for her husband to return home. No idea if this is actually what she’ll be like in a future GoW game, but it’s just an idea I had!

    chiptrillino replied to your post :                    (Slight God of War spoilers) Was pondering as to…

       when atreus was insulting sindri you could hear thunder in the distance. no idea what it could mean. isnt spartas rage part of kratos god power? i mean gods powers do not necesarely have to do with elemental powers. athena is god of wisedome for example.

    @chiptrillino

    I do know that, but you see - the beginning of the thought “does Kratos have elemental powers” was a misunderstanding on my part. I thought the powers he gains in the older games - lightning, ice, and others - were powers he somehow inherited. I only later noticed that the powers were upgrades for his blades, not himself.

    But I ran with that idea and actually started to ponder it even more in depth exactly because of the scene you mentioned - Atreus getting angry and lightning flashing - if Kratos and Atreus have some sort of elemental powers they inherited from Zeus, just, laying dormant because they never even considered that possible, and thus never reached out of for that power.

    I know that not all gods have any and all sort of power over elements, and I would be completely alright with it if Kratos didn’t have those, either. He is already powerful as he is.

    (Wait, didn’t he have Spartan’s Rage already before being promoted to God? Then it would have just been… upgraded, with his godhood, and not something he got just because of it.)

    But after that outburst from Atreus, I just wondered about it. Because if the boy should have those powers, does that mean they skipped Kratos’ generation - genetics do that after all - or does it just mean Kratos has not discovered this power yet?

    I like to think it was Thor beating the shit out of Modi
